Some kids don't love novels but will read voraciously if the subject matter interests them. I give a lot of magazine subscriptions to boys as gifts! Thanks so much for your comment. Free Baseball was a great book for our son to read. It's so tough to get him interested, and finally a book about baseball was able to get him there. I guess it's a good start! I will be recommending it to our teacher. There is a moment for many boys when they must confront the painful finality of divorce. That moment in your book brought that unforgettable memory back for me, as well as the need to find new adult mentors, as Felix does. Thank you Dear Ms Corbett,
